Macchu Pichu Baby!!

My road to Macchu Pichu was in the form of a fairly arduous 4 day trek through the Salkantay mountain pass.

The A team ready to go: 10 trekkers, 2 guides, 2 porters and 2 cooks.

  1. David,

You must be immune to altitude sickness with that trek going to 15,000 ft.

I took the train to Macchu Pichu that went about 10mph.

Chickens were among the passengers. We rode on top of it for a great view.

Does that kind of train still run there or have they been replaced with all fast tourist trains?
